New from Shimano: The Butterfly Flat Fall Jig!

I was at Melton Tackle, and found out that they just got in the new Flat Fall jigs.  The moment I saw the shape I was sold!  It has the same shape of my favorite and tuna tested Sea Falcon jigs.  I'm quite sure this will be a hot jig for casting at schoolie tuna and for jigging up creatures of the deep.  Unlike jigs designed for vertical jigging where the assist hooks are rigged on top of the jig, the Flat Fall's assist hooks are rigged at the bottom.  It is equipped with double Owner assist hooks rigged with 250lb Power Pro spectra.  Melton only had the 80gms on-hand.  Luckily, I was able to snag the two remaining sardine pattern pattern left and it has not even reached their store shelves yet!  One of the Melton rep told me that an angler already landed a nice Bluefin tuna with it on a multi-day trip out of San Diego.  As per Shimano, the jig's effectiveness is its free-fall action.  The Flat Fall is surely a jig you'd want to add in your tackle box!
